The four hundred and forty-fourth day of the large-scale armed aggression by the Russian Federation against our country continues. Let's briefly summarize the most important events of the day that is passing.

During the night, the Russian Federation launched another massive strike on Ukrainian territory, using Iranian strike UAVs "Shahed-136/131." According to updated information, our defenders managed to destroy 18 out of the 22 drones.

Throughout the day, the enemy launched a missile strike with an S-300 missile on the civilian infrastructure of the city of Mykolaiv, resulting in injuries among civilians and damage to a multi-story building and other civilian infrastructure. Additionally, the enemy carried out 66 airstrikes and approximately 70 shelling attacks using multiple rocket launchers. Settlements were also affected, with two fatalities and 11 injured civilians, including children, reported as a result of the shelling of Kostiantynivka in Donetsk Oblast. A private house was destroyed, and four multi-story buildings and other civilian infrastructure were damaged.

President Volodymyr Zelensky is currently on a working visit to Italy, where he met with Pope Francis. He expressed gratitude for the Pope's personal attention to the tragedy of millions of Ukrainians and emphasized the need to return tens of thousands of deported children home. President Zelensky also called for the condemnation of Russian crimes in Ukraine, emphasizing that there can be no equivalence between the victim and the aggressor. He discussed Ukraine's peace formula as the only effective algorithm for achieving a just peace and invited others to join its implementation.

In other news, 22 communities in Poltava Oblast have submitted project applications for the installation of shelters in educational institutions based on government-established criteria. Subsidies from the state budget will be allocated to implement selected projects.

The National University "Odesa Law Academy" held an Open Doors Day event, and the police of Odesa participated in helping prospective students interested in pursuing a legal education make informed decisions about their future careers.

In a separate development, law enforcement officials have announced charges related to the group rape of a seventeen-year-old girl by two law enforcement officers and an accomplice. The incident occurred while the three men were consuming alcoholic beverages at an apartment in Cherkasy. They then physically assaulted and sexually assaulted the young woman.

On a positive note, a charitable literary and musical evening was held at VinSmart Center to celebrate Mother's Day. Songs and poetry were performed, and attendees expressed their gratitude to their mothers for their love and upbringing.

The Odessa police participated in the "Open Doors Day" event at the National University "Odesa Law Academy."

The career guidance event took place today, on May 13th. Representatives from the Human Resources Management, forensic experts from the Investigative Department, police K-9 unit experts, and the Special Purpose Police Battalion of the National Police of Ukraine in the Odessa region engaged with young individuals to discuss the specifics of the police profession.

In another development, representatives from one of the IT companies planted more than thirty pine trees on Monastyrsky Island as part of the #Dnipro_in_bloom campaign.

This was reported by the press service of the Dnipro City Council. More and more residents of Dnipro are joining the city-wide #Dnipro_in_bloom campaign, often participating as groups or teams. One of the large local IT companies planted 35 Crimean pine trees on Monastyrsky Island on a Saturday morning.

Furthermore,
the charitable event "Brave from Smila" took place today, May 13th, in Smila. This event has been held in the city for the third time. All the funds raised this time will be directed to support the 118th Territorial Defense Brigade, strengthening them for victorious battles.
