May 31. Results of the day

The 462nd day of Russia's large-scale armed aggression against our country is ongoing. We briefly recount the main events of the passing day.

Over the past day, the Russian Federation conducted another massive aerial attack on Ukraine, using Shahed combat drones. Almost all drones were destroyed by our defenders. However, there are casualties among the civilian population, private residential houses and other civilian and administrative infrastructure have been damaged. This is stated in the report of the General Staff.

In total, during the past day, the enemy conducted 64 aerial and 1 missile strike, and launched 88 shelling from multiple launch rocket systems.

The adversary continues to focus its main efforts on attempting to fully occupy Luhansk and Donetsk regions. During the past day, defense forces repelled 22 enemy attacks.

The Russian army struck in Pavlograd and Nikopol districts. A child was injured. This was reported by the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.

An explosion occurred in Mezhirichska community of Pavlograd district in the morning. The enemy attacked a transportation enterprise. A two-story apartment building, a private house, a car, garages, and household buildings were damaged. An 8-year-old boy received minor injuries. According to the medics, he will continue treatment at home.

A FSB agent was exposed in Kryvyi Rih. A local resident turned out to be an informant. Under the procedural guidance of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Prosecutor's Office, she was informed of suspicion of unauthorized dissemination of information about the location of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in conditions of martial law (Part 3 of Article 114-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

According to the investigation, the pro-Russian-oriented woman systematically collected and transmitted data about the location and movement of Ukrainian servicemen in the territory of Kryvyi Rih through the Telegram messenger.

Military and civilian medics, volunteers, and heads of medical institutions in Kirovohrad Oblast received the "Order of Saint Panteleimon" awards, as reported by the press service of the regional council.

The awards were presented for selfless service, high professionalism, and civic virtues during Ukraine's struggle for independence.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky appointed a new head of Odesa Regional Administration. He is Oleg Kiper, the prosecutor of Kyiv.

This is stated in decree № 312/2023 by the President. 'Appoint Kiper Oleg Oleksandrovych as the head of Odesa Regional State Administration,' the document says.

In Poltava region, they plan to organize the training of UAV operators based on higher education institutions. This was announced by the head of Poltava Regional Military Administration Dmytro Lunin.

'Drones have become reliable assistants not only for our military but also integrate into other spheres of life. In Poltava region, we plan to organize the training of UAV operators based on educational institutions. This issue was discussed at a meeting with representatives of universities,' said Dmytro Lunin. 'Within the dialogue, we discussed the need for UAV pilots for the agro-industrial, construction, oil and gas industries, and the proposals of higher education institutions to become platforms for training.'
