June 17: results of the day

The four hundred seventy-ninth day of Russia's large-scale armed aggression against Ukraine continues. During the past 24 hours, Russian occupiers launched 37 aviation strikes and conducted 19 shelling attacks using multiple rocket launchers. There remains a high probability of missile and aviation strikes across the entire country. This information was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Russian occupiers shelled the Marganets community in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast with artillery fire.

As a result of the shelling, eight private houses, five outbuildings, and one municipal enterprise were damaged. A woman was injured and hospitalized in a moderately severe condition.

In Horishni Plavni, Poltava Oblast, specialists in various labor professions are being trained. Two modern training and practical centers are operational in the construction department, where individuals can acquire practical skills in locksmithing, welding, and masonry.

Olena Zelenska had a video call with a teacher from Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. Hanna Novikova from the Kryvyi Rih Gymnasium became one of over 38,000 Ukrainian educators who received laptops from the Olena Zelenska Foundation.

From Vinnytsia Oblast, equipment and workers were dispatched to Kherson to address the consequences of flooding. The assistance includes front-end loaders, dump trucks, and vacuum-sweeping equipment.

Odesa pyrotechnicians are helping to demine liberated areas in Donetsk Oblast. According to the pyrotechnicians, there is still much work to be done on the cleared territories.

In Kirovohrad Oblast, crisis consultants are being trained to assist families with children in stressful situations. Over the course of six sessions, 17 participants are learning methods to help people cope with acute stress.

In Kropyvnytskyi, a farewell was held for Marine Sergeant Serhiy Hrytsenko. The 36-year-old military serviceman defended Ukraine as part of the 37th Separate Marine Brigade and lost his life in the area of Velyka Novosilka in the Volnovakha District of Donetsk Oblast.
