Day 467 of Russia's large-scale armed aggression against Ukraine continues. Let's briefly summarize the most significant events of the passing day.
Last night, the enemy used air-launched cruise missiles X-101/X-555 and Iranian strike UAVs "Shahed." This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
With the forces and means of the Air Commands, in cooperation with the air defense of other components of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, 4 out of 6 X-101/X-555 cruise missiles and 6 out of 8 "Shahed" strike UAVs were destroyed.
In total, during the past day, the enemy carried out 14 missile strikes and 40 airstrikes, launching 51 artillery shelling attacks using rocket artillery systems on the positions of our troops and civilian areas. Unfortunately, there were casualties among the civilian population, private residential buildings were damaged, as well as educational institutions and other civilian and administrative infrastructure.
President Volodymyr Zelensky met with the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs of the United Kingdom, James Cleverly. During the meeting, they discussed important current issues, including Ukraine's expectations from the NATO Summit in Vilnius, progress on the Ukrainian formula for peace, and the preparations for the London International Conference on the reconstruction of Ukraine.
The Security Service of Ukraine conducted a large-scale special operation in several regions of Ukraine. As a result of comprehensive measures, three participants of the FSB's intelligence network were detained, and the identity of their Russian "handler" was established. The perpetrators were tasked by the Russian special services to spy on so-called "decision-making centers." They gathered intelligence on the locations, armaments, and personnel of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the central and southern parts of Ukraine.
In the town of Oleksandrivka, Kropyvnytskyi district, Kirovohrad Oblast, a mural was created in honor of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The mural depicts a fighter with the callsign "Bear" who has been defending Ukraine in the Russian-Ukrainian war since 2014. The idea for this mural came from the Oleksandrivka public organization "Justice is Our Choice," and the artist, Oleksandr Britsev, suggested that a local soldier currently serving on the front be depicted.
In Vinnytsia, a unified system for remote unlocking of shelters during air raid alerts is being developed. This system will ensure the safety of residents in the event of an air raid.
Over 380 broken windows, a building with 18 apartments completely destroyed, and damage to 13 private houses were the preliminary consequences of a missile strike that occurred on June 3rd in Pidhorodne, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.
On June 5th, in Myrhorod, awards were presented to the families of fallen soldiers. Captain Bohdan Zubchenko, the head of the moral and psychological support group of the Myrhorod District Territorial Center for Psychological and Social Services, together with the Deputy Mayor of Myrhorod, Serhiy Shvaiko, met with the closest relatives to honor the memory of brave defenders, the residents of Harkushynets, Myrhorod's territorial community. They thanked the parents for raising worthy patriots and defenders, expressed condolences to the parents, wives, and children.
