The five hundred and thirty-ninth day of large-scale armed aggression by the Russian Federation against our country has begun. Let's briefly summarize the main events of the day that is passing.

During the day, the enemy launched 7 missile strikes and 67 airstrikes, as well as conducted 30 shelling attacks using multiple rocket launcher systems on the positions of our troops and populated areas. Unfortunately, there are casualties among the civilian population, including children. Port infrastructure in Odesa region suffered damage, as did residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure.

Our air defense successfully destroyed 2 cruise missiles Kh-59 and 13 UAVs "Shahed-136/131."

Border guards found an individual who got lost in the forest on the Ukrainian-Romanian border and required medical assistance. This was reported by the State Border Guard Service. Representatives of the State Emergency Service turned to the border guards of the "Falkiv" unit of the Chernivtsi Border Guard Detachment for assistance. They received a call on their "Hotline" from a man who got lost in the border area and needed medical assistance.

In the evening, the enemy targeted Nikopol, and early in the morning, they targeted the Marganets community. They fired from "Grad" and heavy artillery, and dozens of projectiles hit residential areas. This information was reported by the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. Fortunately, local residents were not harmed, and the extent of damage is currently being assessed. Inspection of the territories is ongoing.

Russian terrorists attacked Odesa region twice during the night using combat drones. The main target was the port and grain infrastructure in the southern part of the region. This was reported by the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleg Kiper.

A resident of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast who publicly denied Russian armed aggression has been officially charged. This information was provided by the press service of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Prosecutor's Office. According to the investigation, the suspect spread posts and videos from pro-Russian groups on a banned social network. In the anti-Ukrainian materials he posted, he denied Russia's armed aggression and called for cooperation with the aggressor state and its armed formations.

Efforts are ongoing to eliminate the consequences of enemy attacks in Smila. Recall that in the early hours of August 15, two Russian missiles hit completely civilian, peaceful objects: a ceramic manufacturing plant and a hospital. Fortunately, no one was injured. However, several buildings were damaged, windows were shattered by the explosive wave, roofs were damaged by shrapnel, and water and heat supply networks were affected. Currently, 12,000 residents are without water.

The occupation army struck Nikopol and Synelnykove districts. One person was killed, and seven were injured. Among the victims is an 18-year-old young man from the Mezhivska community in Synelnykove district. A 2-year-old girl is also among the injured. She is currently in satisfactory condition and will be treated on an outpatient basis. Three fires were caused by the strikes, which rescuers have already extinguished. A total of 49 private houses were damaged, as well as an agricultural enterprise and a school. Cars were also damaged. There was unrest in Nikopol region as well.
