July 29: results of the day

The five hundred and twenty-first day of the large-scale armed aggression by the Russian Federation against our state continues. Let's briefly summarize the main events of the day that has passed. During the day, the enemy launched five missile strikes, carried out 19 airstrikes, and conducted 30 artillery shelling attacks on the positions of our troops and civilian settlements. Unfortunately, there are casualties among the civilian population, and residential buildings have been damaged. The likelihood of further missile and airstrikes across the territory of Ukraine remains high. This information was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In the Poltava region, the consequences of an enemy missile strike on Dnipro were reported, and there were enemy shelling incidents in the Nikopol district.

Authorities in Poltava region uncovered corruption within the tax service, involving the embezzlement of millions from the state budget.

Two residents of Dnipropetrovsk region were accused of supporting Russia and its occupying army on Russian social media networks.

Poltava region sent 40 volunteers from various districts to Kherson to replace the Poltava brigade that had been working on clearing streets and housing for Kherson residents affected by flooding for two weeks.

In Odessa, a man who had tortured a 5-year-old child living with him was found guilty. The child also suffered a concussion.

In Vinnytsia region, charges were filed against Anatoliy Shariy and the former head of the regional police, accusing them of state treason.

Before the start of the new school year, Cherkasy region aims to prepare 98% of shelters in educational institutions.

A UNESCO mission arrived in Odessa to assess the damage to cultural sites caused by Russian shelling. Representatives of UNESCO also held a meeting with local authorities.
