August 3. Results of the day

The five hundred and twenty-sixth day of the large-scale armed aggression by the Russian Federation against our country is ongoing. Here is a brief summary of the main events of the day:

Russian drone strikes: Russian forces launched another series of drone strikes using Iranian attack UAVs "Shahed-136/131" against Ukraine. All 15 enemy "Shahed" drones were successfully destroyed by the Ukrainian Air Forces, in cooperation with air defense systems and other defense forces.

Ongoing shelling: Russian forces continue their aggression with 1 missile strike, 47 airstrikes, and 23 artillery barrages on Ukrainian positions and populated areas, causing damage and casualties among the civilian population.

Civilian casualties: Unfortunately, there are civilian casualties as a result of the attacks.

In the Kryvyi Rih region of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, a new pipeline section was completed, along with the launch of a new pumping station to provide water supply to residents. Water supply will be restored to twenty populated areas, benefiting around 40,000 people.

SSU operation: In Odessa, the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) arrested a man who was providing the aggressor with targets for airstrikes on the city, tracking the locations and movements of Ukrainian air defense units, and reporting the consequences of missile strikes and drone attacks.

Heating disconnection: In Kropyvnytskyi, 124 apartments in 19 buildings are planned to be disconnected from centralized heating. Residents of these apartments will be compensated 40% for the installation of individual heating.

Interviews for veterans' assistants: In Vinnytsia Oblast, interviews have begun for the selection of veterans' assistants as part of a pilot project by the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine. Twenty-four candidates have applied for this position.

Arrest of draft dodger aid provider: An employee of the Myrgorod District Territorial Center and Social Protection, suspected of providing certificates that helped individuals evade military service, has been taken into custody.

Municipal moment of silence: Starting from August 4th, all public transportation in Vinnytsia will stop for a moment of silence to honor all victims of the Russo-Ukrainian war.

Ukrainian refugees in the UK: Approximately 100,000 Ukrainian refugees in the United Kingdom may face the obligation to leave in September 2025 if there are no changes to the legislation.

Change in status of settlements: Ukraine has eliminated the status of "urban-type settlement" for populated areas, with a relevant law passed by the Verkhovna Rada and sent for the President's signature.

UNDP energy infrastructure project: The UNDP plans to implement a project in Odessa to enhance the city's energy infrastructure capacity by winter. The project is estimated to cost around $50 million.

Russian shelling of Nikopol: During the day on August 3rd, the Russian army shelled Nikopol in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, targeting the territory of a municipal enterprise.

SSU operation in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast: The Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) exposed a provocateur in Dnipropetrovsk region who was urging Russia to launch missile strikes on law enforcement agency buildings in the region.
