August 24th. Results of the day

Five hundred forty-seventh day of large-scale armed aggression by the Russian Federation against our state. Briefly summarizing the day that has passed.

During the day, the enemy conducted 5 missile and 34 aviation strikes, as well as carried out 41 artillery shelling using rocket artillery systems on the positions of our troops and populated areas. Unfortunately, there were casualties and injuries among the civilian population as a result of Russian terrorist attacks. Residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure were also damaged, as reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

On the night of August 24th, Russian forces attacked Dnipro. Seven people were injured, and nearly a dozen buildings were damaged.

In Kravchenko Square in Oleksandriya, an Alley of Memory was opened to remind us of the price Ukraine is paying for its Independence.

The number of casualties due to the rocket strike on Dnipro has risen to 10, according to the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, Serhiy Lysak.

During the night of August 24th, an operation was carried out by the Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine with the support of the Ukrainian Navy in temporarily occupied Crimea. Special units landed on the coast in the areas of Olenivka and Mayak.

Once again, mass fish mortality was recorded in Vinnytsia Oblast. This time, a significant number of fish were found dead in the Ladihynske Reservoir of the Southern Bug River near the villages of Novoselivka and Mankivka in the Tulchyn District.

PSP "Druzhba" in Semenivka, Poltava Oblast, breeds the Ukrainian steppe bee variety. The company plans to launch a honey plant, which is currently under construction.

The fifth international festival of wooden sculpture, "Ladizhynsky Hay-2023," is taking place in Ladihyn, Vinnytsia Oblast. This year, five participants are taking part, including two masters from Kamianets-Podilskyi and one each from Ivano-Frankivsk, Rivne Oblast, and Lithuania.

In Vinnytsia Oblast, there have been 74 confirmed cases of rabies among animals since the beginning of the year. That's why the region has decided to reintroduce artificial regulation of the fox population.

For Independence Day, an exhibition of collages titled "Our Nash" was organized in the St. Uspensky Cathedral in Poltava. It combines landscapes of post-war Great Britain and the liberated cities of Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Mykolaiv, and Donbas.

The Primorsky District Court of Odesa, in absentia, sentenced a militant of the terrorist organization "DNR" to 14 years of imprisonment with property confiscation.
