August 27. Results of the day

The five hundred fiftieth day of large-scale armed aggression by the Russian Federation against our state continues. Let's briefly summarize the day that has passed.

During the night, the enemy launched another attack with cruise missiles from an airbase. As a result of successful combat operations by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 4 cruise missiles were destroyed, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Throughout the day, the enemy conducted 11 missile and 32 aviation strikes, as well as 38 shelling attacks with multiple launch rocket systems on the positions of our troops and populated areas. Unfortunately, there were casualties among the civilian population due to Russian terrorist attacks, and residential buildings, schools, and other civilian infrastructure were damaged.

During the night of August 27, Russia launched another missile strike on Ukrainian territory. Approximately 10 cruise missiles of the X-101/X-55 airbase were launched from the Bryansk region. Ukrainian air defense forces managed to intercept one of them over the Kirovohrad region.

On the night of August 27, two enemy targets were shot down in the Cherkasy region. There were no reports of casualties or damage.

On August 25, a rally featuring retro cars from various countries was held. Owners of historic cars from all over Ukraine gathered in Chervona Sloboda in the Cherkasy region.

In Dnipro, shelters are being set up throughout the city. One type of shelter being deployed is concrete modular shelters, which are placed at public transport stops and other locations where many people gather.

Plans are underway to relocate internally displaced persons (IDPs) from kindergartens and schools in the Poltava region to sanatoriums. Currently, approximately 6,000 IDPs reside in compact living areas in the Poltava region. People with disabilities and elderly individuals living in kindergartens and schools will be able to move to two sanatoriums in Myrhorod and Truskavets.

In Odessa, the city authorities commented on the repair of the Kyiv District Court building for UAH 106 million. They clarified that this is the total project cost, with UAH 10 million allocated specifically for the construction of additional premises for detainees and law enforcement officers escorting them.

The police are determining the whereabouts of 27-year-old Diyarbek Daniyarovich Mairbekov, a citizen of Uzbekistan who was previously convicted of a particularly serious crime. He escaped from a compulsory treatment facility in Poltava on August 27, around 7:45 AM.

In Pyriatyn, Poltava region, a multimedia screen was installed in memory of Ukrainian defenders from the community who lost their lives during the full-scale invasion of Russia into Ukraine.

Throughout the day on August 27, Russian forces shelled the Mirivska community in the Nikopol region of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast twice.

Larisa Borisenko, the leader of the Pavlograd Search and Rescue Canine Unit "Antares," was awarded the Order of Princess Olga, 3rd class.

Despite threats from Russia, the second of the vessels blocked due to the war has left the port of Odesa and passed through the temporary corridor to Romania.
