July 17. Results of the day

The five hundred and ninth day of Russia's large-scale armed aggression against our country is ongoing. Let's briefly summarize the events of the day:

Within the past 24 hours, the Russian Federation launched 5 missile strikes using S-300 air defense systems. Additionally, the enemy conducted 34 aerial attacks and over 40 artillery shelling attacks on the positions of our forces and civilian areas. Tragically, there are casualties, including children and adults, and civilian homes and infrastructure have suffered damage, as reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The likelihood of missile and aerial strikes across Ukraine remains high.

In the early morning, there was a positive development as there were explosions on the Crimean Bridge, which connects Russia to the occupied Crimea. One section of the bridge was destroyed, and another was damaged. Traffic on the bridge is restricted, and ferry services have been suspended.

Unfortunately, daily attacks persist in Ukraine. Last night, Russian forces attacked Dnipropetrovsk Oblast with Shahed drones of Iranian origin, all of which were successfully intercepted.

In the morning, the enemy launched a missile strike on Dnipropetrovsk Oblast in the Mezhivska community of Synelnykivskyi Raion.

In Odesa, the body of a young dolphin washed ashore at the Delfin Beach. Scientists have taken the deceased animal for examination to determine the cause of death.

The cities of Vinnytsia, Kyiv, and Kramatorsk have taken the lead in the process of toponym decolonization by renaming over 200 objects over the course of two years, removing references tied to Russian imperial policies.

In Kirovohrad Oblast, a criminal group involved in drug trafficking to penitentiaries was exposed and apprehended.

New animals, jackals, have appeared in the forests of Cherkasy Oblast.

During a special commission inspection in Cherkasy Oblast, 243 unfit shelters and 279 with no unobstructed access were discovered.

The Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) arrested a member of the Russian "Crimean self-defense" militant group in Odesa, who was involved in the seizure of administrative buildings in Crimea during the events of 2014. He had been evading justice for crimes against Ukraine.

In a park in one of the villages within the Lipovetska territorial community in Vinnytsia Oblast, locals discovered the body of a man with signs of violent death. His killer committed suicide.

In the territory of the Dominican Monastery, part of the architectural and historical complex "Mury" in Vinnytsia, an expedition has found a series of artifacts dating from the 17th to the 20th centuries.

In Poltava, a concert by the popular singer YAKTAK was held to raise funds for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
